Dev:WaveLight Oculyzer 2 and Allegro Oculyzer 2
Oculyzer 2 is shipped together with a preconfigured computer. This computer runs a stripped down version of Windows which does not leave the user much control over where the files are being exported.
In some instances, it has a preconfigured connection to a shared network drive called vdisc. To enable saving files in that folders, the administrator has to connect this computer to another computer on which they have full administrative rights to install the DeviceDataUploaderService.
If you have admin or technician account for this computer, you will be able to map a network drive of your choice and then use it to export data to it. In this case, you can skip the “Set up 1-to-1 network” section.
Set up 1-to-1 network
Preparation
In the Oculzyer app, go to Einstellungen then Sonstige Einstellungen and select Export tab. Under Daten Export tick all the data which should be exported.
To find out the IP and destination folder name required to connect the Oculyzer computer and the computer which will run the DevicaDataUploaderService, click on “...” button to select the folder. There will be a mapped network drive called e.g. vdisc on 192.168.5.1. Note that IP address and folder name.

To connect the Oculyzer computer with the DevicaDataUploaderService computer, the administrator will need a crossover ethernet cable or 2 regular ethernet cables connected to each computer and to each other using a crossover ethernet adapter. The detailed instructions are here.
Alternatively, a switch can be used, but it is an overkill, since only 2 computers need to be connected.
On the DevicaDataUploaderService computer, the 1-to-1 network is configured as follows.
Make sure sharing is on
Start -> Systemsteuerung ->Netzwerk und Internet -> Netzwerk- und Freigabecenter -> Click on the connection which appeared after connecting the 2 computers.
⚠️Add image: Sharing 1.jpg
Set the values as marked on the screenshots below. It is important to turn off the password protection because the Oculyzer computer cannot enter anything.

Again:

Click on Eigenschaften and then open the IPv4 settings

Set the IP manually to be the one which you found out in the Oculyzer app mapped network folder.

On the computer which will upload the measurement data, set up the pickup and archive folder. Have in mind that if you have a predefined shared network drive, the pickup folder you create for this device will have to have the same name and as the one which is already set up for the device!
Create a folder for this device, e.g. C:\DeviceData\Oculyzer2
In it, create archive folder:
* Archive -> This will be the archive folder in the DeviceDataUploader applicationsettings.json C:\DeviceData\Oculyzer2\Oculyzer2_Archive
* Pickup -> This will be the pickup folder in the DeviceDataUploader applicationsettings.json C:\DeviceData\Oculyzer2\Oculyzer2_Pickup
Right click C:\DeviceData\Oculyzer\Pickup -> Freigabe tab -> Click Freigabe -> Type Jeder -> Click Hinzufügen -> change rights to Lesen/Schreiben
⚠️Add image: Pickup 1.jpg

Give everyone right to read and write.
