Global basic travel service definitions
b-op defines basic travel services, which hold:
- a travel-service global identified (GID),
- a travel service code (e.g. "STRETCHER")
- the point of delivery - either port or segment.
- Port means that the travel service might be delivered at embarcation, disembarcation or each transfer port.
- Segment means that the travel service can be delivered per segment
Carrier specific service definition
If a digital is authorative for a travel carrier, e.g. Lufthansa / LH, the digital may define per each carrier to which it is authorative, a list of travel services which are generally supported by the carrier. This is done by picking from a list of global travel service definitions.
Once a service is picked, the digital can define for the carrier if the service is
- generally available to all ports / all services (depenendent on the point of delivery) available to the carrier or
- if the carrier wants to define availability for each port or each offered segment. If this option is selected, the carrier has to define, if the service availability depends on
- if the initial embarcation port of a segment supports the service
- if each transfer port supports the service
- if each disembarcation port of a segment supports the service
Whenever a PAX requests a travel service,
it has to become mapped to the segments of the initinerary he has booked for and PAX Portal tries to request the service for segments or ports.
This mapping
